This painting suggests the land's fragmentation, its layering, its interrupted geometries is itself a kind of singing. Not despite the wounds but through them. The marks that look like damage are also the marks of persistence. The earth has been carrying this song for longer than anyone has been listening. This painting is an act of witness. An ear pressed to the ground, transcribing what it finds there.
