##### Can you describe your artistic process? What materials and techniques do you typically use?

As a documentary and travel photographer, my artistic process is deeply rooted in capturing the essence of the people and places I encounter. I'm driven by a passion to preserve and document the world's diverse cultures, landscapes, and stories for future generations. My creative process typically begins with research and planning, as I seek out locations and subjects that resonate with me. Once I'm on location, I immerse myself in the environment, observing and absorbing the sights, sounds, and emotions that surround me. 

In terms of materials and techniques, I primarily use digital cameras, which offer me the flexibility and versatility to capture high-quality images in a variety of settings. I'm also meticulous about my equipment, ensuring that I have the right lenses, tripods, and other accessories to support my creative vision. My approach to photography is intuitive and spontaneous, as I seek to capture the authentic moments and emotions that reveal the essence of my subjects. I'm drawn to the beauty of natural light. Ultimately, my artistic process is a personal and emotional journey, driven by a desire to preserve memories, inspire and connect with others through the power of photography. 

##### What emotions do you experience when creating your art, and how do they influence the final piece? 

When I'm creating my art, I experience a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment. The thought of capturing moments that will transcend time and resonate with future generations fills me with immense joy and motivation. It's as if I'm leaving a piece of myself, a gift to humanity, that will continue to motivate and educate long after I'm gone.

##### What is your approach to experimenting with new techniques or styles? 

My approach to experimenting begins with a spark of curiosity and a desire for creativity. I'm driven by the urge to bring a fresh perspective or unique feel to my work, and to reignite my creative spark.

##### Can you describe a turning point in your artistic career that significantly impacted your work? 

A significant turning point in my artistic career occurred when I made the conscious decision to prioritize my personal interests while creating new works. This shift in approach had a profound impact on my artistic journey. By putting my passion first, I rekindled my love for the creative process. What was once starting to feel like a chore transformed into an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. I found myself looking forward to each new project, eager to explore and express my ideas. 

This newfound enthusiasm infused my work with a fresh sense of purpose and energy. I began to experiment with new techniques, take risks, and push beyond my comfort zone. As a result, my art became more authentic, vibrant, and meaningful. In essence, prioritizing my personal interests was a liberating experience that reignited my passion for art. It reminded me that, as an artist, I have the freedom to create work that truly resonates with me, and that this authenticity is essential to producing meaningful and impactful art.

##### Do you have any rituals or routines that help you get into a creative mindset? 

Indeed. Watching documentaries related to my creative niche is a consistent source of inspiration for me. Immersing myself in these documentaries not only educates me, but also reignites my passion for the craft.

##### How do you perceive the relationship between art and mental health? 

The relationship between art and mental health is deeply personal and profound for me. As a photographer, art provides an outlet for visual self-expression, allowing me to convey emotions and thoughts without the need for words. Through my lens, I often see reflections of myself in the individuals I photograph. This empathetic connection fosters understanding, compassion, and unity. The creative process and the feeling of fulfillment that come with capturing meaningful moments bring me a profound sense of purpose. This purpose is a cornerstone of my mental stability. When I'm creating, I feel grounded and focused; it helps me navigate life's challenges with greater ease. In essence, art is not just a form of expression for me; it's a vital tool for maintaining my mental well-being.

##### Are there any symbols, colors, or motifs that recur in your work, and what significance do they hold for you? 

Certain visual elements have become integral to my artistic identity. I have a deep affection for vintage aesthetics, which is reflected in the warm, nostalgic tone that pervades some of my works. The deliberate use of muted colors and subtle textures imbues my images with a distinct retro charm, evoking a sense of nostalgia and timelessness. This visual language not only pays homage to the past but also adds depth and character to my creations.

##### How do you balance personal expression with audience expectations in your work? 

As an artist, I prioritize authenticity and personal expression in my work. To maintain creative integrity, I focus on my own vision and passions rather than catering exclusively to audience expectations. While understanding and respecting my audience's preferences is essential, I recognize that prioritizing commercial appeal or external validation can stifle my creativity and lead to burnout.  

##### What do you think is the most important quality for an artist to possess? 

I firmly believe that the most crucial quality for an artist to possess is a clear and compelling "WHY". This core purpose serves as the driving force behind their creative endeavors, reminding them of the reason they embarked on their artistic journey in the first place. Having a solid "WHY" is what sustains an artist during challenging times, when self-doubt, criticism, or uncertainty may arise. It's the anchor that keeps them grounded and motivated, even when faced with adversity.
